2021 TASTING NOTES
Our Heritage Red is a blend of Zinfandel, Petite Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Charbono. These are four historical varietals from the Old World that were brought here and planted by the pioneers of Napa Valley winegrowing.
Old-vine, dry-farmed Zinfandel and its deep wells of blackberry and cherry flavors are the backbone of this blend. Petite Syrah piles more rich dark berry aromas, flavors, and deep dark color, while Cabernet Sauvignon adds chalky natural tannins and structure to the mouthfeel.
Last but certainly not least, the ultra-rare Charbono lends a pretty freshness and brightness to the palate and finishes off this bold, complex wine.
Unfined and unfiltered.
Our Brannan Heritage Red wine is a tribute to the field blends of yore and is made with purpose and passion to be a complex, powerful wine that can stand alongside the greatest in the world while speaking to our unique Calistoga terroir and our proud California heritage.
